ALICE
C. STELLE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Gorian
and Associates, Inc., provided geotechnical engineering services during
the design and construction of the Alice C. Stelle Middle School in
Calabasas, California. Geotechnical
challenges involved stabilizing three landslides using buttresses and
removal and recompaction methods. Also site grading required cutting ridges and filling canyons
to specifications which would keep potential differential settlement to
within tolerable limits.
